Moving with Käthe Kollwitz

A museum is going to move and you are part of it!

Here we will keep you up to date on our relocation to the Theaterbau am Schloss Charlottenburg and inform you about our plans, preparations and upcoming construction measures.

Not until 2024 will all structural changes be completed and the museum will be able to occupy the entire second floor of the theater building.

Käthe Kollwitz has finally arrived! Two years after the museum opened, the large-scale Kollwitz portrait figure is now in its final location in front of the theatre building at Charlottenburg Palace.

Donation to the Kollwitz Museum

The Kollwitz Museum recently received a generous donation of over 30 letters and letter cards from Käthe Kollwitz to Dr. Heinrich Becker, the then director of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld.

Goodbye, Käthe Kollwitz

The new Kollwitz Museum has opened!

The countdown is over! Our new domicile is open.
The Kollwitz team has started museum operations and is relieved and also grateful to be able to present the work of Käthe Kollwitz from now on in the former theater building at Charlottenburg Palace.
