75 participating museums and 750 events await Berlin culture night owls on the night of August 24. The Kollwitz Museum is also opening its doors between 6 p.m. and midnight in addition to its usual opening hours and is offering a varied program under this year’s motto “Berlin Secrets”.

MYSTERY FUN FOR CURIOUS MINDS – MUSEUM DETECTIVES IN ACTION

Attention master detectives: There’s a mysterious case to solve here. Exciting secrets are hidden behind some of the objects in the Charlottenburg museums. Make your own equipment and join us on the hunt for clues! A captivating detective game through the museum landscape at Charlottenburg Palace.

The cast collection of antique sculptures, the Bröhan Museum, the Käthe Kollwitz Museum Berlin, the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection and Charlottenburg Palace are all taking part. The detective tour can start at any of the five participating museums.

Workshop

ANIMAL ACTION AT KÄTHE KOLLWITZ

20.00 – 22.00

Discover ostriches, otters and penguins in the museum – be artistically inspired by the animal sculptures by sculptor August Gaul (1869-1921), which can be seen as part of a temporary intervention in the Kollwitz exhibition. In the workshop you can create your own animal sculpture to take home using the simplest of materials.

Take advantage of the Lange Nacht Bus Shuttle!

 

Once again this year, you have the opportunity to travel from museum to museum on a specially organized Long Night Bus Shuttle.

The four bus shuttles (North, East, South and West) connect museums in outlying districts with the museums in Mitte and Kreuzberg. The West and East shuttles are operated by BVG buses, the North and South shuttles by vintage buses from the Traditionsbus association. All shuttles are specially designed for the Long Night and can therefore only be used with a valid LNDM ticket.

 

The Käthe Kollwitz Museum is located on the West Route. This extends from Potsdamer Platz to Charlottenburg and reaches the following museums:

The stop for the Kollwitz Museum is Luisen­platz/Schloss Charlotten­burg.

The buses run every 15 minutes between 18.00 and 1.00

You will soon find an overview of the route on the city map on the Long Night of Museums website, a more detailed view will be made available to you soon. On the Long Night itself, the exact route will also be displayed at the relevant bus stops and can also be found in the printed service plan.
