Poster Print between Art and Politics
October is all about children. Every weekend this month there are numerous free events for Berlin’s children. The city’s museums, cultural institutions, theatres and music and art schools open their doors with a colourful programme for young and old.
For this year’s Berlin KinderKulturMonat, the Kollwitz Museum is offering a poster course for children aged 8 to 12.
What can posters tell us about the cultural-political situation in our city? With a view to social injustice and her commitment against the war, Käthe Kollwitz created a large number of political posters. After a tour of the exhibition, visitors can design their own posters and create them using experimental printing techniques.
