The 2-meter bronze Kollwitz figure by Gustav Seitz can only be lifted from the top floor with a crane. For this, even the door including the frame has to be removed. At its new location, it will greet visitors in front of the theater building in the future.

Bringing Käthe Kollwitz and her art closer to all people of all ages, whether with or without limitations, is the goal of our educational work. This requires flexible equipment in the new museum education area: height-adjustable tables, tablets, projectors, microphones and speakers.
A modern museum needs multimedia offerings to appeal to young people. This already begins in the future entrance area, where, for example, information and offers relating to the museum visit immediately catch the eye on large-format monitors.
