Opening weekend at the Käthe Kollwitz Museum

4.-6. Juli 2025
After intensive renovation work, the Käthe Kollwitz Museum has been open again since 5 July. The ceremonial reopening and the first Kollwitz Sunday offered art, exchange and neighbourliness. One highlight: the special exhibition by Jan Kollwitz.

Welcome, Käthe Kollwitz

Käthe Kollwitz has finally arrived! Two years after the museum opened, the large-scale Kollwitz portrait figure is now in its final location in front of the theatre building at Charlottenburg Palace.

Donation to the Kollwitz Museum

The Kollwitz Museum recently received a generous donation of over 30 letters and letter cards from Käthe Kollwitz to Dr. Heinrich Becker, the then director of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld.

Goodbye, Käthe Kollwitz

Sensational departure – now the last work, the large-scale Kollwitz portrait figure, has also left the former museum location on Fasanenstrasse. A challenging action that required an experienced team, patience and tact.
