Berlin’s museums are here for everyone. From July 4, 2021, admission is free on the first Sunday of every month. Museum Sunday is an initiative by the State of Berlin in cooperation with the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the State Association of Museums in Berlin. Museum Sunday is an opportunity for Berlin’s museums to get even more people interested in the city’s diverse cultural offerings. Everyone is warmly invited to embark on a voyage of discovery with their friends and families. All are welcome.
Our program on October 1, 2023:
Printing workshop
PRINT YOURSELF OUT!

12.00 – 15.00
Käthe Kollwitz not only drew pictures, she also printed. In the workshop, you will learn about the differences between letterpress, planographic and intaglio printing processes, will see examples of Käthe Kollwitz’s works in the exhibition and will get to know the expressive power of these visual languages. Afterwards, you will create your own motif and really print yourself out in the process!
On the first Sunday of every month, all generations are invited to try their hand at the printing techniques, which change monthly.
- October 1, 2023: Flat printing – Screen printing with stencils
- November 5, 2023: Monotype – a combination of painting, drawing and graphics
- December 3, 2023: Christmas printing – designing folding cards with mixed media
