From June 22 to June 29, 2024, the 50th Berlin Senior Citizens’ Week will take place under the motto “Shaping the future together”. This week of events will focus on the many different offerings for seniors in Berlin.

The Käthe Kollwitz Museum is delighted to be taking part again and offering two 90-minute exhibition talks entitled ‘In the footsteps of Käthe Kollwitz’, which provide a very special approach to the life and work of the artist.

Berlin influenced Käthe Kollwitz in various ways: Not only did she have her artistic breakthrough here, but it was also where she lived with her husband and family, attended theatre performances, met with friends and created a large number of artistic works that still touch us today. How has the Berlin of Käthe Kollwitz changed over the decades? You are cordially invited to join us in a dialogue and accompany us on a historical search through the exhibition.
