The museum invites you to a creative printing workshop!
Every first Sunday of the month, the doors are open to individual creativity. Come along, bring along some time and explore artistic creation.
Käthe Kollwitz was a master of printmaking. Hardly any other artist of her time was more familiar with the expressiveness and craftsmanship of printing techniques. Inspired by her original works of art, participants try out different techniques of the artistic printing process each month.
Even adults are allowed here!
Upcoming dates:
5 October Letterpress: With linocut to shared stories
A story is developed together from motifs designed by the participants and told from different perspectives. It is then printed as a kind of graphic novel.
2 November Diary: Binding and personifying
Inspired by the diaries of Käthe Kollwitz, this personal format takes centre stage as an object. Using a simple bookbinding technique, several pages are bound together and marked with a personal symbol, an ex libris created using the relief printing process.
7 December Printed and celebrated: Design folding cards with mixed printing technologys
KollwitzSunday
