School project day<\/h2>\n

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

K\u00e4the Kollwitz was a great drawer, graphic artist and sculptor. She developed a socially critical view of society and expressed herself artistically on the grievances of her time. In her prints, she addressed themes such as social injustice and created committed works on the subject of war in the technique of woodcutting.<\/p>\n

The pupils discover the diverse art prints and the artist’s themes in the museum. They learn about the technique and history of the artistic printing processes – relief, intaglio and planographic printing. Materiality and technical-craftsmanship aspects, as well as processes of artistic creation, will be examined.<\/p>\n

Alternating between individual and collective processes, the pupils from grade 5 onwards carve and print together a large-format linocut based on a motif by K\u00e4the Kollwitz. Pupils from grades 1-4 experiment with polyblock printing plates. The resulting prints can of course be taken home.<\/p>\n

K\u00e4the Kollwitz hat nicht nur Bilder gezeichnet, sondern auch Druckgraphiken hergestellt – zum Beispiel f\u00fcr Flugbl\u00e4tter und Plakate, wie ihr ber\u00fchmtes Plakat “Nie wieder Krieg!”.<\/p>\n

Im Workshop gibt es n\u00e4heres \u00fcber k\u00fcnstlerische Drucktechniken zu erfahren, Bildbeispiele von K\u00e4the Kollwitz in der Ausstellung zu sehen und die gro\u00dfe Ausdruckskraft dieser Bildsprache kennenzulernen. Anschlie\u00dfend k\u00f6nnen eigene Werke mit einem \u00e4hnlichen Verfahren gestaltet und sich dabei so richtig ausgedruckt werden!<\/p>\n

Der Workshop wird in Kooperation mit Jugend Im Museum<\/em>\u00a0e.V. angeboten.<\/p>\n

Mit spannenden kulturhistorischen und biografischen Hintergrundinformationen werden die Zeichnungen, Graphiken und Plastiken von K\u00e4the Kollwitz in den zeitlichen Kontext gesetzt.<\/p>\n

Der Multimedia-Guide ist bequem auf dem eigenen Smartphone im Browser zu \u00f6ffnen \u2013 eine App zu installieren ist nicht notwendig.<\/p>\n
