The Kollwitz team has gone over to normal museum operations and is pleased to welcome numerous museum visitors who have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the new museum rooms. Various guided tours, workshops and events have already taken place – the new premises have passed their baptism of fire.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Admittedly, our old museum location on Fasanenstrasse with its idyllic garden and close proximity to Kurf\u00fcrstendamm had an incomparable charm. But our new domicile at Charlottenburg Palace also has a lot to offer, especially a beautiful spacious palace park that invites you to take a lunchtime stroll. The Kollwitz team has quickly settled into the theater building and feels at home, even though not everything is ready yet; for example, the visitors’ checkroom with its lockers is still missing in the foyer.<\/p>\n

Such incompleteness is quickly forgotten when, after a busy day, new views accompany the end of work: The romantic evening light over Klausenerplatz or the statue of “Pomona” in front of the Orangerie, enthroned on a pedestal in a mysteriously misty atmosphere.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_separator][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_single_image image=”8714″ img_size=”full” onclick=”link_image” css=”.vc_custom_1669298657617{margin-right: 0px !important;margin-left: 0px !important;border-right-width: 0px !important;border-left-width: 0px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”8716″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_separator][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1669299760034{padding-left: 10px !important;}”]Now that the Christmas season is approaching and the first Advent is upon us, a little peace is slowly returning to the Kollwitz Museum. The annual Christmas market in front of Charlottenburg Palace has been set up and recently opened.
