Then, finally, the administration and the art can move in and the museum team can devote itself to the museum work again. Things are progressing on our construction site: the painting work is in full swing, the floors and necessary installations are being made.

But despite all the anticipation of the move to Kollwitz’s new home: the extensive renovation work in and on the Theatre building as well as in the entire palace complex continues to put us to a hard test of patience.

The extensive renovation work by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg – SPSG) has been ongoing for several years and is being carried out from east to west – from the New Wing to the Theatre Building. The Theatre building is currently covered in scaffolding and will remain so for a while. That doesn’t scare us! But the SPSG’s construction work in the building unfortunately often collides with our schedule. For us, therefore, it’s still a matter of showing staying power and exercising patience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”8013″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”8011″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”8027″ img_size=”full” onclick=”link_image” css=”.vc_custom_1658834658183{margin-right: 0px !important;margin-left: 0px !important;border-right-width: 0px !important;border-left-width: 0px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1658840608715{padding-left: 10px !important;}”]Progress can be seen in the first floor foyer compared to early July.
