As part of the Berlin Fairy Tale Days, exciting events for fairy tale fans are offered throughout Berlin. The autumn month will once again be a month full of fantastic stories, shining children’s eyes and special shared experiences with the family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

he Berlin Fairy Tale Days are taking place for the 36th time, this year under the motto \u2018The Swan Woman \u2013 Fairy tales and stories about obstacles and true strength\u2019. From 6 to 23 November, the festival will focus on fairy tale characters who do not conform to the norm, but who are strong, lovable and inspiring precisely because of their uniqueness. The focus is on stories about outsiders who overcome prejudice and find themselves through courage, kindness and self-confidence \u2013 a plea for diversity, inclusion and the power of being different.<\/p>\n

The K\u00e4the Kollwitz Museum is participating again this year and will bring children’s book author Eric Carle’s \u2018The Little Caterpillar Goes Out\u2019 to life in a shadow theatre performance on Sunday, 9 November 2025.[\/vc_column_text]

Maik Z\u00f6llner performs this colourful shadow play with ukulele, singing and lots of fun. Based on motifs by children’s book author Eric Carle, the play is about growing and thriving and an idea of what is really important.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After the fairy tale performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

all those interested are invited to create their own shadow figures and try out for themselves behind the scenes of the small shadow stage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

K\u00e4the Kollwitz hat nicht nur Bilder gezeichnet, sondern auch Druckgraphiken hergestellt – zum Beispiel f\u00fcr Flugbl\u00e4tter und Plakate, wie ihr ber\u00fchmtes Plakat “Nie wieder Krieg!”.<\/p>\n

Im Workshop gibt es n\u00e4heres \u00fcber k\u00fcnstlerische Drucktechniken zu erfahren, Bildbeispiele von K\u00e4the Kollwitz in der Ausstellung zu sehen und die gro\u00dfe Ausdruckskraft dieser Bildsprache kennenzulernen. Anschlie\u00dfend k\u00f6nnen eigene Werke mit einem \u00e4hnlichen Verfahren gestaltet und sich dabei so richtig ausgedruckt werden!<\/p>\n

Der Workshop wird in Kooperation mit Jugend Im Museum<\/em>\u00a0e.V. angeboten.<\/p>\n

Mit spannenden kulturhistorischen und biografischen Hintergrundinformationen werden die Zeichnungen, Graphiken und Plastiken von K\u00e4the Kollwitz in den zeitlichen Kontext gesetzt.<\/p>\n

Der Multimedia-Guide ist bequem auf dem eigenen Smartphone im Browser zu \u00f6ffnen \u2013 eine App zu installieren ist nicht notwendig.<\/p>\n
