The K\u00e4the Kollwitz Museum would like to enable a carefree visit to the museum for as many visitors as possible. At our location at the Theaterbau at Charlottenburg Palace, the museum is for people in wheelchairs barrier-free.<\/h3>\n

The nearest barrier-free train station with a wheelchair-accessible entrance is the S-Bahn station Westend.<\/h3>\n

Information on accessibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The K\u00e4the Kollwitz Museum does has a wheelchair access at its new location in the theatre building at Charlottenburg Palace. Some of the paths in the park area are uneven. There is a ramp leading to the main entrance and 6 steps to the ticket office and exhibition level. The toilet is located in the basement. All heights are accessible with the building lift.<\/h3>\n

Mobile seating can be borrowed free of charge at the ticket office.<\/h3>\n

Reduced admission for visitors with a disability ID card \u2014 Free admission for recognized individuals accompanying a person with disabilities.<\/h3>\n

Tours<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Currently, three major works by K\u00e4the Kollwitz can be experienced tactilely. The tactile models are located within the exhibition presentation on the upper floor.<\/h3>\n

From 2026, we will once again be offering guided tours in DGS (german sign language) for adults with and without hearing impairment.<\/h3>\n

Website<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With our website we strive to follow the regulation BITV 2.0 from 2011, so that our information is accessible for people with disabilities. Screen reader programs can be used to capture our screen content and output it in Braille either with synthetic speech via the sound card or via a connected Braille line.<\/h3>\n
