Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH<\/a> has been a steady partner for many years: our museum is tightly connected with the Museumsdienst, the Museumsportal, and the Museumsjournal, as well as the Long Night of Museums.
\nTogether our museum and the Museumsdienst design and coordinate our museum’s educational program. The association promotes artistic and cultural education and creates opportunities for children and teenagers to engage with Berlin museums. All holiday offers and Family Sundays of the K\u00e4the Kollwitz Museum take place through cooperation between the museum and the association. THE SCULPTURE MUSEUMS<\/h3>\n

The Association of Sculpture Museums<\/a> brings together more than 40 museums in Germany and Austria that focus primarily on sculpture. Among them are many wellknown artists’ museums, such as the Georg Kolbe Museum in Berlin, the Ernst Barlach Houses in G\u00fcstrow and Hamburg, as well as the Gerhard Marcks House in Bremen or the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum. GRAPHIC COLLECTIONS NETWORK<\/h3>\n

The Graphic Collections Network comprises graphic collections in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Together, the collections in the network draw attention to art on paper. This transnational platform was initiated by the Graphische Sammlungen<\/a> NRW network.<\/p>\n

ART ON PAPER<\/h5>\n

Art on paper includes drawings and watercolors as well as prints, such as woodcuts, etchings, or lithographs. Exhibiting and storing art on paper requires special conditions. Despite their very great importance, graphic holdings are therefore exhibited less frequently than other genres of fine art.<\/p>\n

TREASURE CHESTS<\/h5>\n

The richest treasures are stored in graphic depots \u2014 for art lovers as well as for scholars. THEATER COMMUNITY BERLIN<\/h3>\n

The TheaterGemeinde Berlin<\/a> (Theater Community Berlin) was founded in 1963 as a non-profit association. Its aim is to promote understanding for all areas of culture, to strengthen general interest in culture, and to encourage participation in cultural life. They provide reduced-price tickets, cultural information, and forums for mutual exchange and reflection.<\/p>\n

The Theater Community Berlin sees itself as a mediator between the approximately 150 stages in the German capital, the artists, and the audience. With over 12,000 members, it is one of the largest and most experienced visitor organizations in Germany. KULTURVOLK BERLIN<\/h3>\n

Kulturvolk Berlin<\/a> is an association devoted to culture. It brings Berliners closer to the city’s cultural life and sees itself as a facilitator for all those who are passionate about the world of the stage. The association encourages individuals to discover this world for themselves. Hence, the Freie Volksb\u00fchne offers individually tailored packages and enables cultural experiences at particularly favorable prices.<\/p>\n

Due to close cooperation with theaters, operas, and many other cultural providers in Berlin and Potsdam, the association can purchase larger ticket allotments at favorable prices and pass this advantage on to its members. Thus, the association is able to offer tickets that are up to 40% below the box office price. BERLIN COMMITTEE FOR UNESCO WORK E.V.<\/h3>\n

In cooperation with the Berlin Committee for UNESCO Work<\/a>, the artistic competition “Sei K\u00e4the \u2014 Be Kollwitz!”<\/a> was announced in 2017. With around 300 works submitted by students, it was a great success. The award ceremony took place on the 150th birthday of K\u00e4the Kollwitz on July 8th at our museum. K\u00c4THE KOLLWITZ MUSEUM COLOGNE<\/h3>\n

The K\u00e4the Kollwitz Museum<\/a> in Cologne is one year older than its sister museum in Berlin, founded in 1985 on April 22nd, the 40th anniversary of the artist’s death. The museum is sponsored by the Kreissparkasse K\u00f6ln, which laid the foundation for the extensive collection as early as 1983 with the acquisition of a bundle of 60 drawings. The work of K\u00e4the Kollwitz is appreciated and cherished worldwide.
